This Chandler project was built to give the customer a dedicated concrete slab inside the shop for storing tools and keeping the workspace cleaner and more durable. Instead of leaving the area as loose aggregate and bare ground, the goal was to create a solid working surface that could handle repeated use and hold up better over time.
Layout and Reinforcement
Before the pour, we formed the pad inside the building and added metal reinforcement to give the slab more strength for the intended tool-storage use. On a slab like this, the reinforcement matters because the surface is meant to support regular equipment and day-to-day shop activity, not just light foot traffic.

Concrete Placement Inside the Shop
The concrete was placed directly into the shop area and worked into the formed section to create a clean, defined slab where the customer could keep tools and equipment off the loose base material.

Finish Work and Jointing
Once the concrete was in place, we finished the surface and cut in the panel layout so the slab would cure out cleanly and perform better long term.

Finished Tool Storage Pad
The completed slab gave the customer a much cleaner and more usable section inside the shop for keeping tools organized and off the loose ground surface.

Why This Scope Worked
This was a practical utility slab built for a specific use. By reinforcing the slab and finishing it cleanly inside the shop, the customer ended up with a stronger storage surface that makes the space easier to work in and easier to keep organized.
