- Garage footings, slab pour, addition concrete, driveway tie-in, sidewalk and patio wrap
This Gilbert project started as a concrete scope for a new garage addition, but it grew into much more than just the pour. We were originally brought in to handle the concrete footings and slab for the new garage, and we ended up overseeing the broader construction process as the job moved forward.
That included helping guide the build from the structural concrete stage through the completed garage, driveway extension, sidewalk, and patio work that wrapped around the new addition.
Footings, Layout, and Garage Slab Prep
The job began with the foundation phase for the garage addition. We formed and prepared the footing and pad area so the new structure would have the right base to build on.

On projects like this, the concrete is only one part of the bigger picture. The layout has to be right from the beginning because the slab and footings affect everything that follows, from framing to driveway alignment to how the finished addition ties into the rest of the property.
Slab Placement and Finish Work
Once the prep was ready, we poured the slab for the new garage and finished the surface to create a strong base for the addition.

From Concrete Scope To Broader Project Oversight
As the work moved forward, we did more than just pour the concrete. We ended up acting as the general contractor on the addition and overseeing the broader construction process so the new garage build, access points, and surrounding flatwork all came together correctly.
That included the driveway extension to the new garage, a full sidewalk connection, and patio work wrapping around the new build so the finished addition functioned as part of the property instead of feeling tacked on.
Finished Garage Addition and Exterior Flatwork
By the end of the project, the new garage, driveway tie-in, and surrounding concrete all came together into a finished addition that looked intentional and worked cleanly with the existing home.

Why This Scope Worked
This project is a good example of why broader construction experience matters. The concrete work was essential, but so was the coordination behind it. Because the job grew into a larger addition project, the value was not just in pouring a slab. It was in helping guide the build so the garage, driveway, sidewalk, and patio all fit together as one finished scope.
