- Pad layout, base prep, formwork, bagged-concrete mixing, placement, and finish work
This Queen Creek project was built to give the property a cleaner, more durable place to store equipment outdoors under a covered bay. Instead of leaving the area as dirt and grass, the goal was to create a finished concrete surface that could handle regular use, stay easier to maintain, and make the space function more like a true storage area.
Existing Area and Storage Goal
Before the pour, the storage zone was mostly grass and bare soil under the covered structure next to the shed. That kind of surface can work for a while, but it turns into a mess once equipment starts getting parked, moved, or stored there regularly.

The homeowner wanted a defined slab that would make the area more usable and easier to keep clean.
Base Prep and Forming
We laid out the pad to fit the covered storage area and prepped the base so the slab would sit cleanly inside the footprint. Even on a smaller storage pad, the prep work matters because that is what keeps the finished surface feeling solid and intentional instead of temporary.

MudMixer Pour and Placement
This pad was poured using our MudMixer setup with bagged concrete, which made sense for the size and access of the project. That approach let us keep the pour controlled, place material efficiently, and finish the slab cleanly inside the covered bay.

Finished Concrete Storage Pad
Once the concrete was placed and finished, the area was transformed into a practical outdoor storage surface with clean panel layout and a much more durable base for equipment use.

Why This Storage Pad Worked
This was a straightforward project, but it solved a real use problem. A properly finished concrete pad gives the owner a cleaner place to store equipment, reduces wear on the ground surface, and turns an underused covered area into something much more practical day to day.
